ConnectEd Research Fellowships are an application-based format for supporting research participation with defined expectations, appropriate mentorship, and a clear project context.
A fellowship experience is shaped by the learner’s preparation, the research opportunity, and any requirements of the host environment.
A project course is usually organized around a learner’s research question and instructional sequence.
A fellowship may involve contributing to an existing research agenda, participating in research discussions, or completing a defined piece of work within a research group. The exact arrangement is established in advance.
Literature review, data preparation, analysis, coding, modeling, research discussions, and a documented contribution or report.
Participants may work with a faculty advisor or an appropriately designated researcher, postdoctoral scholar, or doctoral mentor.
Applicants should be able to explain their interests, relevant preparation, availability, and learning goals. Selection and matching consider project fit and supervisory capacity.
Eligibility, dates, participation costs, and any funding support are stated in the specific opportunity announcement.
Remote and in-person participation may be possible when compatible with the project and host requirements.
In-person access, institutional appointment, laboratory training, and any travel or visa arrangements require separate confirmation; a ConnectEd fellowship does not establish those arrangements automatically.
