1. 01

    Learning Design and Assessment

Programs are planned around explicit learning goals and suitable opportunities for practice. Depending on the program, work may include a research concept note, literature synthesis, data analysis, notebook, prototype, poster, presentation, or report. Assessment focuses on reasoning, methodological choices, interpretation, and communication.

  2. 02

    Instructors and Mentors

Instruction and mentorship draw on researchers, educators, faculty members, doctoral scholars, and subject-matter specialists with relevant experience. Assignments depend on the program and learner needs. With permission, qualifications can be shared during institutional planning or academic review.

  3. 03

    Authorship, Evidence, and AI

Learners must represent sources, data, contributions, and results honestly. AI tools may support permitted tasks, but they do not replace the learner’s responsibility to understand the work, verify sources and outputs, and disclose assistance as required. Authorship and attribution reflect actual contributions and applicable research or publication rules.

  4. 04

    Data, People, and Research Permissions

Projects must use data and resources with appropriate permission. Human-participant research, restricted datasets, laboratory work, and institutional access require the applicable approvals before work begins. Participation in a course does not itself provide ethical approval or access rights.

  5. 05

    Feedback and Student Independence

Feedback should support learning without substituting for the learner’s contribution. Programs linked to a school assessment follow the school’s specific rules; AP assessed work has additional restrictions on outside assistance.

  6. 06

    Review and Improvement

Program reflection can draw on learner feedback, instructor review, and evidence of learning. External outcomes such as publication, admission, awards, or employment are not a substitute for assessing what participants actually learned.
