The ConnectEd Research Fellowships are a structured, application-based program that supports selected fellows in gaining mentored research experience under the guidance of faculty advisors at research institutions.
The Fellowships are designed to expand access to research environments and to support the academic development of emerging scholars.
Fellows are selected through a competitive application process and matched with faculty advisors based on academic background, research interests, and program fit.
Research experiences may be conducted remotely or, where appropriate, in person, subject to institutional policies and availability.

Summer: 8–12 weeks of intensive engagement.
Semester: 4–5 months of part-time structured participation, providing sustained exposure to a research environment.
Structured participation in an active, faculty-led research group with defined roles and responsibilities.
Project-based work directly aligned with ongoing research, supporting real outputs.
Fellows may work directly with faculty advisors or with designated members of the research group, including graduate students or postdoctoral researchers.
